Large Ammonite Fossil Pendant
This unique pendant is made of real Fossilized Ammonite and set in a silver plated setting.
Ammonite's are extinct predatory mollusks that resembled squid. These cephalopods had eyes, tentacles, and spiral shells. They are more closely related to a living octopus, though the shells resemble that of a nautilus. Ammonite first appeared in the fossil record about 240 million years ago and disappeared about 65 million years ago at the end of the Cretaceous period.
